Honest constraints for a warehouse

Bay cameras are often mounted high and angled for vehicles, which is excellent for loading oversight and poor for face recognition. How do you track warehouse attendance across multiple loading bays?

Any camera with a usable view of an opening can act as a check-in point, so bays, yard gates and office doors are all covered by the same system. There is no per-door hardware cost, which is what makes covering four openings practical rather than theoretical.

Can it track third-party logistics or contract crews?

Yes. Enrolment is a short face scan from a phone, so a new crew can be registered at the gate in minutes, and their records can be kept separate from permanent staff and purged when the contract ends.

Does it help with warehouse shrinkage as well as attendance?

That is the practical advantage of running both on one camera estate — you can align who was on site with what the bay cameras recorded. The same feeds also carry after-hours boundary alerts, so one system serves both purposes.

What about drivers and visitors who are not employees?

Unenrolled faces are logged as unknown rather than ignored, so you retain a record of movement without registering every visiting driver as staff.

Do we need to replace our warehouse cameras?

Rarely all of them. Bay cameras angled down at vehicles usually need repositioning before they can identify people, while most entrance cameras at normal height already qualify. The feasibility check tells you which is which before you commit.
