Straight answer: compare AI video analytics suppliers on five things they either publish or do not — price and what it includes, pilot terms, which cameras they confirm, what proof sits behind their claims, and who is actually on the ground in your city. On 5 October 2026 no two of the five suppliers below published the same set, and the gaps say as much as the claims.

Everything in the table is taken from each supplier's own website on that date and linked so you can check it. Websites change; if a cell here disagrees with the supplier's page today, the page wins. PGAK is one of the five, and we have listed our own gaps as plainly as anyone else's.

What the table is really comparing

Three different purchases. A ₹400-a-camera subscription you install yourself, a camera system priced in lakhs, and a quoted service that starts with a survey are not one product at three prices. Decide which of the three you are buying before you compare numbers.

Pilots that differ by an order of magnitude. Seven days on 32 cameras and thirty days on two answer different questions — the first how the system copes with your whole site, the second whether it can be trusted on the cameras that matter most. Ask for the one that matches your question, and agree the scoring before it starts.

"Works with 40 brands" versus "works with your recorder". A brand list is a fair opening. It is not a guarantee: two recorders with the same logo can differ by model and firmware. The useful answer is a supplier confirming your model before you pay. Our compatibility page sets out what that check involves.

Percentages with no method. Precise figures — 70%, 92%, 99.9% — are easy to print and hard to use. A figure means something only with its site, its period, its baseline and whether it was measured or modelled. Ask for those, from every supplier, us included. Our own capability register lists which functions rest on a recorded demonstration and which do not yet.

Who answers when a camera goes dark. A city named on a webpage and a team in that city are different things. Ask who will survey the site, who installs, and who picks up the phone in the second month — and get the answer in writing.

Where PGAK falls short in this table

We publish no rate and no fixed pilot terms. Both are fair criticisms, and both are things two of the other four do publish. Our reason is that the same per-camera price is wrong for most sites until we have seen the cameras — but a buyer comparing websites cannot see that reason, only the gap. If you would rather start from a number, tell us your camera count and we will give you one on the call.

The questions that separate them

  1. What exactly does your price include — software, processing hardware, installation, tuning, support?
  2. What are the pilot terms, how are true, false and missed alerts counted, and what happens at the end?
  3. Will you confirm my recorder model and firmware before I pay?
  4. For each percentage on your website: which site, which period, which baseline, measured or modelled?
  5. Who in my city surveys, installs and answers the phone in month two?
