How it works
A compatible motorised camera pans, tilts and zooms to follow a selected object.
Where it could help your business
Follow movement through an open construction yard.
Plan what watches the rest of the yard while the PTZ follows one target. Test how tracking behaves when the subject passes behind an obstruction, when two objects cross and when tracking ends. Fixed overview cameras may still be useful alongside it.
What your camera setup needs
Requires a supported PTZ camera. A fixed camera cannot gain motorised tracking through software.
Can software make a fixed camera auto-track like a PTZ?
Software can crop or follow an object within a fixed image, but it cannot add physical pan, tilt or optical zoom to a camera without those mechanisms.
Check it on your own site
Bring a camera model list and explain the event you want to find or detect. We can use that to scope a compatibility assessment. Ask for a written proposal naming the supported functions, processing hardware, licences and pilot checks before agreeing to an installation.
