Why do biometric attendance machines fail at a factory gate?

Factory work produces the opposite — oil, dust, cuts and callouses — so a meaningful share of workers fail to read every day, and each failure adds to the queue. Face recognition at the gate has no contact requirement and processes people while they walk.

Can it monitor PPE compliance?
